Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
We are seeking a Neighbourhood Area Lead to manage a team of neighbourhood housing staff delivering a high-quality, area-based housing service. The role will deliver a first line of defence in assuring that services are delivered with a strong emphasis on customer services and in line with the appropriate policies and procedures.
The role ensures effective patch-based case management, supports tenancy sustainment, and contributes to service improvement through close collaboration with Environmental Services and Central Housing functions. We are looking for individuals who can oversee and develop the delivery of area-based plans, working with relevant colleagues within housing, other departments within the local authority, and other relevant external stakeholders. You will drive regulatory compliance and resident satisfaction while ensuring vulnerable residents receive targeted and effective support.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in neighbourhood management, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to navigate competing demands. With a commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement, you will help embed modern, efficient working practices and play an important role in enabling the Housing Management Team deliver high quality services.
