Executive Assistant
London Borough of Redbridge
Reference: RQ002558
Executive Assistant – Executive Leaders Team (ELT)
Location: Lynton House
Permanent – Full Time
Closing date: 2nd July 2026
Interview Date: 6th July 2026 (in-person)
Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.
We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.
We are seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to provide exceptional executive, governance and operational support to our Executive Leadership Team. This role sits at the centre of the Chief Executive’s Department and ensure the smooth, effective running of senior leadership activity across the organisation. You will manage complex diaries and correspondence, coordinate briefings and meetings, oversee key business processes, and support clear and timely decision‑making. Working closely with senior officers, Members and external stakeholders, you will anticipate priorities, resolve issues proactively, and contribute to delivering high‑quality outcomes in a fast‑paced, politically sensitive environment.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience supporting senior leaders, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to navigate competing demands. You will work with discretion, build positive relationships at all levels, and maintain a calm and solutions‑focused approach. With a commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement, you will help embed modern, efficient working practices and play an important role in enabling the Executive Leadership Team to deliver its strategic priorities. Flexibility to adapt at pace and support occasional out‑of‑hours commitments will be essential.
