About the Role

The post holder will join a small client monitoring team, who monitor the service delivery and performance of the service provider of the joint street lighting PFI contract between Croydon and Lewisham Council.

 This is a important role within our Street Lighting team, where you will:

  • Carry out main duties in the borough of Lewisham. However, the role will entail carrying some works in Croydon.
  • Support the street lighting manager in relation to the monitoring of the PFI contract.
  • The post holder will use the monitoring systems to monitor the Service Providers performance against specific standards and ensure the effective delivery of the PFI contract.
  • To include management reports relating to the performance, quality, efficiency and the cost effectiveness of the service.
  • Raising small works schemes upon instructions from Lewisham Officers, to include quotations and final measurements from service provider in line with Schedule 16 Rates.

 

About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • 10 years’ relevant experience in Street Lighting or other Civil Engineering related background.
  • Knowledge of the New Roads and Street works Act (NRSWA) and Traffic Management Act (TMA)
  • Experience of using street lighting management information systems.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Local knowledge of both Lewisham and Croydon areas
  • Hold a clean driving license.
  • Occasional attendance at meetings outside normal working hours may be required.
