Assistant Wheelchair Operations Officer

As the Assistant Wheelchair Operations Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day delivery of Enfield’s Wheelchair Service, helping to ensure residents with mobility needs receive a responsive, efficient and high-quality service. Based at Enfield Civic Centre, you will provide essential administrative, operational and financial support, acting as a first point of contact for service users, carers, healthcare professionals and partner organisations. You will coordinate wheelchair repairs, servicing, deliveries and collections, maintain accurate records and databases, process orders and invoices, monitor performance information, and contribute to service improvement initiatives, all while ensuring compliance with council policies, information governance requirements and GDPR standards.

The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy customer-focused environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. You will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders, while handling enquiries, requests and complaints effectively. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workloads and meet deadlines are essential. You will be confident using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook, and experienced in maintaining accurate records using databases or case management systems. We are looking for a proactive, adaptable and solution-focused individual who can work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Experience within a wheelchair service, equipment service, healthcare, social care or a
similar operational setting, along with knowledge of systems such as SAP, Neptune or APW, would be advantageous.
