About Camden
Camden is changing on the inside to make life better for everyone. Our residents and communities are at the heart of everything we do. We’re home to the most important conversations happening today and we’re making radical social change a reality, so that nobody gets left behind. Here’s where you can help decide a better future for us all.
How You’ll Be Involved
As a Service Charge Officer, you’ll play a key role in ensuring leaseholders receive accurate, transparent and timely service charge information. Working within our Home Ownership team, you’ll be responsible for calculating and billing service charge estimates and actuals, resolving queries and disputes, and helping leaseholders understand their charges through a responsive and person-centred approach. You’ll build strong working relationships with colleagues across Housing, Repairs and Income Collection, using your attention to detail and problem-solving skills to deliver a high-quality service that supports both residents and organisational objectives. You'll also contribute to continuous improvement within the team, providing insights and updates to the Service Charge Team Leader and, where required, supporting legal and enforcement processes by gathering evidence and representing the organisation at tribunals or court hearings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining financial accuracy with excellent customer service to make a real difference for leaseholders.
All About You

We’re looking for someone who combines strong financial and analytical skills with a genuine passion for helping people. You’ll be confident working with complex service charge information, producing accurate calculations and billing, and explaining technical information clearly and sensitively to leaseholders. You’ll be proactive in identifying and resolving issues, able to manage a varied workload, and comfortable working collaboratively with colleagues across Housing, Repairs, Income Collection and other partner services to achieve positive outcomes for residents.
You’ll have a good understanding of leasehold service charges and the legislative framework that underpins them, or the ability and enthusiasm to develop this knowledge quickly. Just as importantly, you’ll be someone who values equality, inclusion and partnership working, recognising the diverse needs of Camden’s communities and adapting your approach accordingly. With excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, you’ll be able to balance attention to detail with a relational approach, ensuring residents feel informed, supported and treated fairly. If you enjoy working in a role where financial accuracy, collaboration and excellent customer service come together to make a real difference, we’d love to hear from you.
