Redbridge is an ambitious, diverse and exciting east-London borough. What we do is driven by changing our relationship with local people to support our vision. As a result, we've developed innovative ways to build our communities and transform our Council.

We're one of the fastest growing parts of the country and the third most diverse London borough. Our communities are attracted by a mixture of excellent schools, relatively affordable housing, high-quality open space and rapid transport connections into the heart of the city.

We are seeking a Housing Adviser to provide an exceptional service to residents.

You will act as the first point of contact for customers, dealing with requests professionally and sympathetically. You will be required to provide an efficient and effective front-end reception and telephone and take ownership of issues, deal with enquiries and provide a first-class response within the agreed timescales to residents.

You will need to be able to use computer systems to update records and to ensure these are accurate and up to date as well as perform various administrative duties related to the customer service function. You will also provide a support service to other teams within the Housing Service and ensure all reception office services are provided efficiently and effectively.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in dealing with the public, excellent organisational and communication skills, and the confidence to navigate competing demands.

You will work with discretion, build positive relationships at all levels, and maintain a calm and solutions‑focused approach. With a commitment to collaboration, excellence and continuous improvement, you will help embed modern, efficient working practices and play an important role in enabling the Housing Management Team deliver its strategic priorities.
