Accessibility statement for londonboroughjobs.co.uk
London Borough Jobs is run by Jobs Go Public. This statement applies to londonboroughjobs.co.uk.
Using this website
We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website. You should be able to:
- zoom in up to 400% without text spilling off the screen
- change colours, contrast and fonts using your browser or device settings
- use most of the website with just a keyboard
- use most of the website with a screen reader (some parts are harder to use than they should be, listed below)
Your browser can help too. Microsoft Edge (Read aloud), Chrome (Reading mode) and Safari (Speak Screen on iPhone and iPad, Spoken Content on Mac) will read pages aloud, and all three can translate pages into other languages. AbilityNet's free My Computer My Way guide explains how to set these up on your own device, step by step.
We've also tried to keep the text on this website as simple as possible.
How accessible this website is
We know some parts of this website aren't fully accessible:
- Job adverts don't use headings or list structure, which makes them harder to move through with a screen reader (1.3.1 Info and relationships).
- "Apply now" buttons open the employer's website in a new tab without telling you first.
The references in brackets are the WCAG 2.2 success criteria each issue relates to.
Job adverts, documents and applications
Job adverts are written by employers, and documents attached to them (such as job descriptions) are supplied by employers, so they may not all be fully accessible. If you need a document in a different format, please contact the employer named in the advert.
If applying for a job takes you to an employer's own website, that employer is responsible for its accessibility. They're also the right people to talk to about reasonable adjustments during the recruitment process.
Feedback and contact information
If you have difficulty using this website, or need information on it in a different format, email support@jobsgopublic.com and tell us:
- the web address (URL) of the page
- what the problem is
- how you'd like us to reply
We'll aim to reply within 5 working days.
If you're not happy with our response
You can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS). The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 AA standard, because of the known issues listed above.
