About The Role
Engagement Officer
Are you passionate about helping people overcome barriers and achieve their employment goals?
Connect to Work is seeking two enthusiastic and motivated Engagement Officer to help expand our reach across Tower Hamlets and connect more residents with life-changing employment support.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing programme that supports people facing barriers to work, including health conditions, disabilities, caring responsibilities and other challenges that can affect their ability to secure, sustain, and progress in employment.
About the Role
As an Engagement Officer, you will be the face of the programme within local communities, building strong relationships with residents, employers, community organisations, health services, and partner agencies.
You will lead outreach and engagement activities across the borough, promote the programme at events and community venues, generate referrals, and support residents as they begin their journey with Connect to Work. You will play a key role in ensuring that people who could benefit from the programme know about the support available and feel confident accessing it.
Working closely with colleagues and partners, you will help develop new opportunities, strengthen local networks, and ensure our services are reaching those who need them most.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of community engagement, outreach, partnership working, or stakeholder engagement.
- Is confident building relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
- Is committed to promoting inclusion, equality, and opportunity for all.
- Has a genuine passion for helping residents improve their lives through employment.
