Job Description

Advanced Practitioner - Salary - Grade 9- £56,058 - £60,393pa

The successful candidate will

  • Directly manage and supervise a small number of non-social work staff.
  • Manage a caseload of complex and challenging searches for homes for children and oversee the quality assurance of providers contracted by the council.
  • Support the Team Manager in maintaining and developing high professional standards across the team.
  • Have specialist knowledge of social work practice with children and families that can be used across the brokerage service to support the identification of good homes for children in care.
  • To represent the service in developing key service provision or local strategic initiatives with commissioners and care providers.
  • Take responsibility for developing skills, expertise and knowledge for a wide range of practice issues and to provide consultation, coaching and mentoring within the team, including effective case management,, analytical assessments and high quality written work.
  • Support team development and recruitment process.
