As our senior Building Control professional, you’ll lead a skilled team responsible for ensuring buildings across the borough meet the standards our residents, businesses and communities should expect. You’ll provide the professional judgement behind complex and high-profile decisions, oversee dangerous structures and enforcement, and lead our response to the new Building Safety Regulator regime.

With building safety undergoing its biggest change in a generation and major development and regeneration planned across Merton, this is a chance to shape a modern, confident Building Control service where professional standards, public safety and excellent customer service go hand in hand.
